No. Use your own developer, an agency, or build it yourself. If you'd rather it done for you, our design partner can build a fully branded site for $1,500.
LegitScript is a third-party body that certifies health merchants meet compliance standards. Mastercard and Visa require it before you can process payments as a health merchant, and Google and Meta require it to run health ads. The $3,333 fee runs through our preferred vendor, whose negotiated rate is well below applying directly [$6,000 for expedited approval].
The setup fee covers everything ScaleMed builds and configures for you. Brand identity, custom website, and LegitScript are third-party costs that vary by partner — some partners don't need them — so we keep them separate rather than bundling in costs you may not use.
No. We evaluate processors case by case. If you already have one, we'll work to support it. Starting fresh, we have a few options to choose from.
You do. You're the merchant of record, so patient payments go straight to your business. If another company promises you live in 5 days, it's usually because they're collecting on your behalf — you wouldn't own the merchant account or the patients. Owning your own account takes a little longer but means you fully own the business. It's also why LegitScript is required: Mastercard and Visa require health merchants to be certified before processing.
Most partners are live in 28 to 45 days. Timing depends on how fast your LLC and business setup wrap up, whether you add a custom website, and LegitScript review time, which can vary.
